With just a few months left before launch, Bungie has begun to reveal more details on what could be Destiny 2’s biggest and boldest expansion, The Final Shape. The odds have looked increasingly stacked against Guardians ever since the Witness successfully entered the Traveler last year, but in a recent update, Bungie has shown just how powerful Guardians will become when they take on this entity and its forces. Beyond what is arguably the most important story in Destiny 2, The Final Shape will also see the debut of a new subclass, powerful weapon upgrades, and devastating Supers. Keep in mind, a long server downtime will precede its launch beginning on June 3, and you’ll need a lot of storage space available to install the update.
Destiny 2: The Final Shape release date and platforms
The Final Shape will launch on June 4, 2024. As usual, you can experience this Destiny 2 expansion on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One. It was previously scheduled to arrive on February 29 before being delayed, extending the current season.
